Wolves defender set to complete Championship loan move
Ki-Jana Hoever is set to leave Wolves to join Sheffield United on loan for the rest of the season, the Express & Star understands.
The defender, who turns 24-years-old on January 18, has been unable to hold down a consistent first team place this season.
He returned from a loan spell at French side Auxerre in the summer and impressed former boss Vitor Pereira, who made him part of his Wolves squad.
Hoever has made just eight Premier League appearances this season, three of which have come under head coach Rob Edwards, and the Dutchman has fallen out of favour.
He has now left for the Blades on loan, a team he was due to join in the summer of 2024 until a move fell through.
Hoever's contract at Wolves expires in 2027 and not 2026, despite some reports stating the latter.
He was left out of the Wolves squad to face Everton on Wednesday night as his loan move is finalised.
Hoever signed for Wolves from Liverpool in 2020 for a fee worth up to £13.5million, but since 2022 he has spent time out on loan at PSV, Stoke and Auxerre.
He has played 33 times for Wolves during his time at the club.
