Aston Villa sweat on midfielder after latest injury setback
Villa are sweating on the fitness of Amadou Onana after the midfielder was forced off in Tuesday’s 4-1 defeat at Arsenal.
The Belgium international received treatment in the first half before being replaced at half-time as Villa’s club record-equalling 11-match winning run was brought to an abrupt halt by the Premier League leaders.
Boss Unai Emery remained unsure as to the nature of Onana’s injury after the final whistle and the 24-year-old is now being assessed as Villa turn their attention toward Saturday’s visit of Nottingham Forest.
