Seven away defeats on the bounce and patchy form since the opening games of the season has seen the pressure mount on the Baggies head coach - just months after his appointment.

They welcomed the in-form Blades to The Hawthorns - as the Baggies desperately look for some respite.

Mason has opted for three changes in a bid to turn the tide - with defender Chris Mepham dropped from the side following a suspect display in the midweek defeat at Southampton.

He has been replaced by George Campbell who comes in at right back - with summer signing Krystian Bielik continuing his run in the side at centre half alongside Nat Phillips.

In midfield Ousmane Diakite comes in for the injured Alex Mowatt, who is out with a foot injury.

And in the other change Mikey Johnston comes back into the side in place of Samuel Iling-Junior.

Albion: Wildsmith, Campbell, Bielik, Phillips, Styles, Diakite, Molumby, Johnston, Price, Grant, Heggebo
