Steve Bull: It's looking bleak for Wolves - but they must keep fighting

If we had got something out of the last two matches I would have given us a good chance of stopping up.

Right now, things are starting to look inevitable. I just don’t see where the goals are coming from or the performances are coming from. It really is going to take something special to get us out of the situation we are in.

But as cliched as it sounds, the players and the staff just have to stick together.

What is killing us at the moment is when we go 1-0 down. The heads go down, the confidence goes and there are no leaders on the pitch.

We just have to find something from somewhere.

Before you even consider the position in the table, it is firstly about restoring some pride.

All we can do as fans is just get behind Rob and the team. If we are going to go down, then we need to go down fighting.

The players need to look at the badge and realise what they are playing for.

What made Wednesday so frustrating was how well we had played just a few days before at Villa.

They are right up near the top of the division but I didn’t think there was a lot between us. We gave them a good game, even though it was one of his first games in charge.

It looked as though there was a plan and the players were responding. It all came down to a lack of finishers. They were clinical and we weren’t.

That is the whole point of our season. We have no finishers in the side.

Going into the Forest game, you could feel the optimism. Instead, we fell flat on our face. We looked like 11 strangers and couldn’t pass the ball to each other. It was like a hot potato. 

It just looked like we were a mishmash of a team.
