"He knows our club very well" - Wolves players welcome new head coach decision
Hwang Hee-chan believes Rob Edwards' affinity with Wolves will help the club as he pledges to 'fight for everything' in their battle for survival.
Telford-born Edwards arrives as the new boss with experience as a player and coach at Molineux, as he plunges himself into a relegation battle on his return to the club.
When asked if his experience and knowledge of Wolves will help, Hwang said: "Of course, we need more experience and someone who can make our team stronger.
"He understands the Premier League and the team philosophy. We always attack and defend together, this is our philosophy, and the fans always support us even when we lose 3-0.
"We give everything for the fans and ourselves and it will help us after the international break.
"I'm not too old but in this group I'm a senior player and I will give everything.
"I will show it on the pitch as much as possible."
Results and performances have seen a rift between the fans and players, as supporters voice their anger.
And Hwang hopes Edwards will also help on that front as the forward pledges to fight for the team and fans.
"He knows our club very well," Hwang added.
"The most important thing is to get a result.
"A few games ago we had some problems with fans but 100 per cent we don't want it like this.
"After bad results we want to say sorry and play better.
"As players we want good tactics and good football and I think he can do this.
"We are ready to fight for everything."

Captain Toti Gomes, speaking after Saturday's defeat to Chelsea, is also looking forward to the change of direction.
"I don't know him personally as a gaffer but hopefully him and his team can come and help us," Toti said.
"I'm very excited to work with him, so let's see what he can do to help us."
When asked about Vitor Pereira's sacking, Toti added: "It's always a sad moment.
"He came in a tough moment last season too and he was a good addition for us. Not just him, but all his staff, they did what they could.
"I know they helped us a lot.
"Of course, this season things were not working the way we expected but sometimes football is like this and now we need a change."
