"A crisis of results" - Wolves boss on club's Premier League struggles

Vitor Pereira does not believe Wolves are a club in crisis but admits he needs results quickly.

They sit bottom of the Premier League without a win in nine matches, which followed a turbulent summer where Wolves sold some key players and were unable to recruit any with experience in the English top flight.

The head coach admitted Wolves are in 'a crisis of results', but he stands firm that the club is 'connected' internally to change their fortunes.

Pereira said: "I don't feel the club is in crisis, but a crisis of results, I agree. Nothing else.

"If you come here, you see the people connected, trying to help and to give everything for the players.

"To the supporters, I say to you again, I understand you. They feel the club, they want results.

"If we start to win games, everything will change. The same supporters that today criticise me and the players, need to understand this is our team, the manager, the players we have and we need the help.

"As a family, we need to help the players to be better and to get results if we want to stay in the Premier League."

Pereira's position is under no immediate threat, despite some unrest among supporters, and the head coach is not interested in focusing on his personal situation.

When asked whether time is running out for him, Pereira said: "I'll leave that to you, your work is the future and speculation, my work is today, the present.

“To spend my hours trying to find solutions, to help my players, to help my club, to help the team, and to reach a win to offer to our supporters. This is my life, from seven o'clock in the morning until seven o'clock in o'clock in the evening.

“I just know one way to change the situation, and this is working hard every day, trying to convince the team that we have quality, to keep the energy, to go to the next game with ambition, with organisation, increasing our level of tactical organisation, because I believe that the fans deserve, and we deserve, results.”
