West Brom player ratings v Norwich: Two 8s and a 9 as key man produces huge match winning moments

JOSH GRIFFITHS

A sharp stop early on to parry a Norwich cross before he produced a top stop to keep out a second half free kick. A loose pass almost led to a Norwich chance - but the Albion keeper produced two massive late saves, first to keep out a header and the second a vital point blank stop.

GEORGE CAMPBELL

Went close with a cross come shot but defensively had a difficult time in the first half and picked up a yellow card. Did his job well late on and helped to see out the game with Albion soaking up pressure.

Improved 6

CHRIS MEPHAM

Produced a good early block and looked solid in the first half. In the second, especially late in the game was a rock for Albion and got back on the line to hook the ball clear when Norwich looked to have equalised. Has struck up such a strong partnership with Phillips.

NAT PHILLIPS

Another top display from the summer signing. Got back to block a Josh Sargent chance in the first half and like Mepham, in the second half he was so solid. Helped to bail his keeper out following a loose pass too.

CHARLIE TAYLOR 

Had a job on his hands in the first half with Norwich getting a lot of joy down the right flank. A key header prevented a Norwich chance - and did his job well in the second before coming off injured.

JAYSON MOLUMBY

Got around and won tackles, breaking up play in what was largely a scrappy game at times. His big contribution came late in the game as a well timed sliding tackle snuffed out a Norwich chance.

ALEX MOWATT 

Was his usually calming influence for Albion in a game where they defended for large parts. Did a really good defensive job later in the game before coming off later in the match.

SAMUEL ILING-JUNIOR 

Great run and cross that led to the opener and looked dangerous at times. Had a shot blocked and put in a decent second half cross that almost led to a Price chance. Did a good job defensively late on when Albion went to five at the back.

Another quieter display from the playmaker. Made some useful contributions in the first half and almost got on the end of a second half cross - before setting up a decent opening for Heggebo late on.

MIKEY JOHNSTON

Had a few openings early on that came to nothing - but looked a constant threat when Albion did get forward. A superb jinxing run led to a shooting chance late in the first half, but he failed to get a shot off. Did well before being brought off on the hour.

JOSH MAJA

Few good early touches before announcing his return with a top striker's finish. In the right place at the right time. Showed good link up play - and looked like the Maja we saw early last season.
