Darts round-up: Tight at the top of Wolverhampton league
Just three legs separate the unbeaten top two after nine games of the Wolverhampton Tuesday Darts League season.
Junction B remained at the summit after beating Woodfield 5-2 thanks to Paul Bromley, Glen Mcrandle, Paul Price, Adam Teasdale and John Simms.
However, Dog B are still hot on their heels after defeating third-placed Ashmore A 6-1 - Phil Mayo, Paul Lucas, Wozza Brice, Mike Matthews, Richard Newey and Mark Frumenzi the Dog winners.
New Gate A are fourth after crushing Junction C 6-1 - Dave Walker, Paul Tonks, Chris Hipkins, Dan Elcock, Darren Tonks and Mike Beasley all winning.
Black Country Super League leaders Allens A had a great 4-1 win over Townsend A in a game which produced 12 maximums, with Ryan O’Connor, Jack Aldridge, Rich Bowen and Shane Price doing the damage.
Soccer Zone A crushed Allens C 5-0 courtesy of Ade Colley, Aaron Colley, Michael Powell, Reece Colley and Jack Mackinon.
Allens Bar kept the pressure on the leaders in the Coseley Friday League, winning 5-1 at The Grapes thanks to Nick Whitehouse, Adam Evans, Wayne Hobday, Sam Bissell and Lee Jordan.
Hotshots A remain two points off top spot after a 4-2 victory at Darlaston Cons, with Jamie Hughes, Alex Howells, Justin Evans and Dave Martin their winners.
Hotshots B defeated bottom side Hurst Hill 6-0 thanks to Luke Messer, Dan Knight, John Simms, Shane Gill, Ant Whitehouse and Kian Rogers.
Tuns B had a great 4-2 victory over Gilberts A in the Wednesfield Sunday League thanks to Jason Lloyd, Max Law, Andy Yates and Jon Williams, while Golden Lion defeated Ring Of Bells courtesy of victories from Callum Mason, Kaiden Brazier, Rob Gibson and Rob Gibson Jnr.
Meanwhile, Wednesfield Cons won 4-2 at Royal Tiger - Connor Lucas, Craig Locker, Pat Garner and Dave Lucas the fab four.
Codsall Bull had a great 4-3 victory over Junction A in the Tettenhall Wednesday League - Dave Smith, Neil Baugh, Mick Baker and Jack Lovett the Bull winners.
Pilot won a tight 4-3 battle with Red Lion A with wins from Cliff Burden, Jas Jaswal, Adrian Sagoo and Shannon Burden, while Dog A had Dave Trainer, Mark Worsey, Liam Worsey, John Sheldon and Stu Foley to thank for beating Charlies 5-2.
