Nathan Judah's Wolves player ratings v Manchester City as one gets 4/10

Nathan Judah rates the Wolves players on their performance following the defeat to Manchester City.

Published

Jose Sa - 5

Sa started the game soundly, but will be disappointed with City's second from Reijnders early shot, arguably could have done better with the third.

Ki-Jana Hoever - 7

One of Wolves' better performers. Worked hard down the right-hand side and was a constant outlet on the overlap when needed.

Matt Doherty - 5

Put in a beautiful cross for Munetsi who was offside, but backed off badly for Haaland's second goal to kill the game.

Emmanuel Agbadou - 4

Will the real Emmanuel Agbadou please stand up! A shadow of himself after a poor pre-season, arguably at fault for three goals.

Toti Gomes - 6

New captain Gomes did not get the evening he wanted, caught out of positions on occasion and will hope for better times ahead

David Moller Wolfe  - 5

Solid enough on debut, but far too safe. Wolfe was caught out for City's first and will need to offer more going forward.

Andre - 7

Classic all energy display from Andre, won the ball countless times, but didn't get the help he needed.

Joao Gomes - 7

Like his partner Andre, covered every blade of grass and disposed City players on countless occasions, but was ultimately overrun.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde - 5

A surprise addition from Vitor Pereira and had a couple of bright spots in the first-half, but faded away before being replaced.

Marshall Munetsi - 6

Full of running and took up some nice positions, but must stay onside when heading home. Lots of energy, but needs to be smarter.

Jorgen Strand Larsen - 6

His blocked shot looked to be heading in, but missed a golden chance after the break that would have got Wolves back in the game.
