Vitor Pereira delivers verdict on Ki-Jana Hoever's Wolves future
Vitor Pereira has confirmed that Ki-Jana Hoever will remain at Wolves this summer regardless of whether they sign another right wing-back.
Hoever, who made the last of his 20 Premier League appearances for Wolves in March 2022, has featured in every game during pre-season.
The 23-year-old has filled the void in the wake of Nelson Semedo's summer departure, although Wolves are closing in on an agreement for Hellas Verona defender Jackson Tchatchoua.
The Dutchman has been the surprise package of pre-season and Pereira has been buoyed by what he has seen.
"Ki will stay with us. I like him, it was a surprise for me because I didn't know that he was our player,"
"Imagine, I was looking for a wing-back and they told me we have a player in France.
"It's important to see him in pre-season, so I said, 'OK ask him to come'. It was a good surprise because I like him as a player.
"He has a technique that I like, he's fast at attacking the space, he's very calm with his decisions.
Hoever is set to start at right-wing back tomorrow as Manchester City visit Molineux.
