Darts round-up: Netherton hit Horseley Tavern for six in Coseley Friday League opener

Newcomers Netherton CC hit the ground running in the Coseley Friday League with a resounding 6-0 demolition of Horseley Tavern in their league opener.

Dave Male, Anthony Apati, Williams Cairns, Matt Hadeley, Abdul Ghaleb and Rich Lenton propelled Netherton to victory. 

Reigning champions Wednesfield Cons A started the season with a 4-2 success over The Royal, while Lower Gornal B beat Hotshots 6-0 courtesy of wins from Nathan Jones, Kev Flavell, Matt Price, Steve Johnson, Paul Watton and Neil Cooper.  

Meanwhile, Charles Bar reached the Tettenhall Wednesday 501 Cup Semi-Finals after prevailing 4-3 in a title battle with Swan Compton thanks to winners from James Newman, Mark Mason, Dan Harley and Jay Moon. 

They will be joined in the semi-final by Junction A, Junction B and Dog & Patridge B. 

Codsall Firs defeated Winning Post 4-2 in the Consolation Cups with wins from Craig Skitt, Jono Handley, Jack Holt and Ryan Bailey. 

Matt Bickerton, Neil Baugh, Liam Baker and Dave Rowsell were among the winner in Codsall Bulls' 4-1 win over Moreton Arms. They will be joined in the semi-finals by McGhees and Claregate. 

Elsewhere, leaders Staffs Knot edged to a 3-2 victory against Landywood in the West Midlands Superleague, while Ryan O'Connor averaged 100.20 in Dog & Partridge A's 5-0 triumph over William Archer.

Kings Head beat in-form Dudley EX 4-1 courtesy of wins from Mark Maiden, Matty Dennant, Rich Platt and Adam Teasdale. 

In the Black County Superleague, Soccer Zone A whitewashed Soccer Zone B thanks to Reece Colley, Mike Powell, Mark Zambra, Aaron Colley and Ryan Hardman. 

Allens C enjoyed to a 4-1 victory over Whiteheath Taverns with wins from Reece Butler, Lee Jordan, Craig Butler and Joe Turner. 

Gilberts A cruised to a 5-1 success on the road at New Gate in the Wednesfield Sunday League. Dave Lopez, Ben Wright, Brian Dolman, Mal Pugh and Dean Shovell each prevailed to propel them to a comfortable victory. 

Ashmore A beat Ring of Bella 4-2 away from home courtesy of wins for Jack Newey, Reece Evans, Kye Simmons and Kev Bell. 

Three Crowns also tasted victory on their travels at Winning Post thanks to Chris County, Ash Barker, Kieron Baker and Shaun Fitzgerald.
