Wolves targeting move for Colombian winger
Wolves are targeting a move for winger Jhon Arias this summer, the Express & Star understands.
The 27-year-old is wanted by Vitor Pereira's side to add attacking quality and depth following the sale of Matheus Cunha to Manchester United.
Wolves have a strong interest in the Colombian international, who is one of their firm targets this summer.
Initial talks are believed to be under way to get a deal over the line, but it is understood Brazilian club Fluminense are reluctant to lose him.
Wolves are expected to continue pushing for the forward, who has been with Fluminense since 2021.
Arias started for the Brazilian side on Tuesday as they lost 2-0 to Chelsea in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.
The Brazilian league is currently ongoing and in all competitions so far this season, Arias has scored four and assisted 13 in 34 games.
Last year he managed 15 goals and eight assists in 53 matches across various competitions.
He can play across the front line and would bring significant experience to Wolves, despite not yet playing in Europe during his career.
Arias has also been linked with a number of other clubs, including Spurs, but Wolves hold firm interest and are working on a deal.
