The South Korean international endured a difficult 2024/25 campaign and has been linked with a move away in the coming months.

Last summer Wolves turned down a £21million offer from French club Marseille and Hwang stayed after then boss Gary O'Neil revealed his desire to keep him.

The 29-year-old still has plenty of good things to say about Wolves, but was vague when asked what the transfer window holds for him.

"Of course, Wolves is still my dream club," Hwang said when asked if he is happy he stayed last summer.

"I'm playing my dream and I never said to my parents or my friends that I should go.

"I just kept trying my best and I want to give everything.

"I've enjoyed this time and in training the performance of my team-mates is amazing, that's why I've learned a lot.

"I want to keep a good level and I want to give a good vibe and give everything."

When asked if he could leave this summer, Hwang added: "I don't know, I haven't thought about that yet.

"I'm just focused on getting my position.

"I don't know, now I will rest as this season was really tough.

"Let's see what happens, but I love Wolves and my team-mates."

In 2023/24 Hwang enjoyed his best Wolves campaign to date with 12 Premier League goals, 10 of which were scored before the New Year.

But last season the forward struggled to get into his rhythm and hold down a regular spot in the starting XI, scoring just two goals all year.

Hwang admits it was a tough campaign but remains focused on improving in the future.

"To be honest, for me it wasn't an easy season after a very good season last year when I scored a lot," Hwang said.

"I tried to keep a good level this season but I've been a little bit unlucky with injuries and some things.

"Nevertheless, I tried to give my best and every single day I give 100 per cent, even when I don't play one minute.

"I'm really happy to be here, I love my team-mates and enjoy playing with them."

Hwang's Wolves future remains uncertain and he could be among a number of players that depart in the transfer window.

He is unlikely to be short of suitors if a move does materialise.
