Wolves are hoping to reintegrate Hugo Bueno into their squad next season after a successful loan spell, the Express & Star understands.

The 22-year-old has overcome some muscle injuries to have an impressive loan at Dutch side Feyenoord, who he joined on a season-long move in the summer.

Bueno has played 26 times in all competitions, including nine Champions League appearances, registering four assists throughout the campaign so far.

He has shone at left-back in a back four, but has showcased his attacking ability and crossing quality for Feyenoord.

Wolves are now keen on bringing Bueno back to Molineux to challenge for a place in the team next season, despite a number of clubs being linked with his signature.

Among several European sides, fellow Premier League club Bournemouth have been credited with an interest in Bueno.

The player himself has also been vague when asked about his future, including in an exclusive interview with the Express & Star at the start of 2025.

But Wolves want Bueno to shine in their squad after a useful year in his development.

Bueno joined Wolves' academy aged 16, when he arrived from Spanish side CD Areosa for just £3,000.

His Wolves future may also depend on the game time the club can offer him under Vitor Pereira, however, and the future of Rayan Ait-Nouri, who is attracting interest from rival clubs.

Wolves could also see a number of other players depart this summer ahead of Pereira's first pre-season with the club.

Nelson Semedo and Pablo Sarabia are out of contract and likely to leave, while Matheus Cunha has a £62.5million release clause that is expected to be triggered.

Goncalo Guedes and Tommy Doyle were both left out of the squad to face Spurs last weekend and could leave, while Santi Bueno's future is also uncertain after losing his place in the team.

Fabio Silva's future is also expected to be finalised in the summer, with a number of European clubs linked with his signature.

The 22-year-old, who Wolves signed for £35million in 2020, has a year left on his contract with a year option.

He has scored 10 goals for struggling Spanish side Las Palmas this season in his fourth loan move away from Wolves and all parties are keen on securing him a permanent move away from Molineux this summer.
