New signing 'honoured' by warm Wolves welcome
Marshall Munetsi admits he is 'honoured' by the warm welcome he has received since joining Wolves.
The £15million deadline day addition has made a big impression on Wolves with two substitute appearances so far, making his FA Cup and Premier League debuts.
After making that late switch from France, Munetsi says his team-mates and the fans have helped him adjust with the welcome he received.
"As footballers we don't really have that time (to settle in), we always have to get down to business as soon as possible," Munetsi said.
"For me now, I'm just trying to help the team, doing the best I can on and off the pitch.
"Everybody has been so kind and it feels like I've been here for a long time.
"I'm truly honoured for how everybody has received me.
"Everybody is so kind and willing to help, it makes it easier to adjust."
The Zimbabwean international has played as a makeshift number nine in his first two appearances amid injuries to Jorgen Strand Larsen and Hwang Hee-chan, and he could be in line for his first start against Bournemouth this weekend.
More known for being a box-to-box midfielder, Munetsi says he is ready to help the team wherever and whenever called upon.
"The coach wanted us to put them more under pressure and that's why we had four midfielders on in the second half (against Liverpool)," Munetsi said.
"It was part of the tactic to try to put them under pressure and once we get the ball, to try and play it forward fast.
"I like the duels and to help the team defensively and attacking.
"I try my best to contribute with goals as a box-to-box midfielder.
"As a player you have to be able to adjust to any position that you play.
"In France I played some games like this so it's not unusual for me.
"I'm capable of getting into the box and finishing.
"As a midfielder I need to be able to play in any position."
Wolves continue their relegation battle with 13 games left to play, with Bournemouth and Fulham the next two tests.
Munetsi is confident in the talent of the Wolves squad to stay up this season.
"Before I came I saw the quality we have, it's unbelievable," Munetsi added.
"We'll push for more victories after what the guys did against Aston Villa.
"Going forward we will take it one game at a time without looking too far forwards."
