Liam Keen comment: Wolves leave it late but end transfer window on a high
Wolves left it late but they ended the transfer window on a high.

The club needed to bring in some additions to balance the squad and as the transfer dominoes began to fall elsewhere, Wolves were able to tie up some crucial deals.
Leaving most of the business until deadline day is never advised, but the winter window is often a tough market to crack and following a deserved and crucial 2-0 win over Villa, Wolves followed it up with two last gasp additions.
Following the signing of Emmanuel Agbadou earlier in January, Wolves were desperate to add another defender to their ranks.
The Kevin Danso deal fell through after it was hijacked by Spurs and Wolves moved quickly to agree a deal with Red Star Belgrade's Nasser Djiga.
At 22-years-old, and coming from the Serbian league, he will need some time to adapt.
However, he does offer a physical and athletic right-footed centre-back that should fit into Vitor Pereira's system.
He also offers immediate competition to Matt Doherty who has done well since his move deeper into defence.
Turkish giants Galatasaray tried to hijack the Djiga deal but the player insisted he wanted to join Wolves.

After losing out on Danso, Wolves eventually got a player committed to the cause and that is just as important as his footballing ability.
Pereira was also adamant that the club needed an imposing defensive midfielder and he got just that in Marshall Munetsi.
A team-mate of Agbadou's at Reims, he joins after five successful years in France and adds some steel to the Wolves midfield.
Physically strong, hard in the tackle and good in the air - Munetsi should have no problem fitting into the Premier League and is exactly what Pereira asked for.
Those two late signings, added to the addition of Agbadou, means Wolves have ticked plenty of boxes.
It may not be the same free-spending window of 2023, but Fosun have invested enough to improve the team and give Pereira a good chance of keeping Wolves in the top flight.
The head coach also got what he asked for this window and chairman Jeff Shi and sporting director Matt Hobbs should be applauded for making it happen.
Although Agbadou has some shortcomings with the ball at his feet, he has proven to be a successful signing so far with his athletic attributes improving a leaky defence.
On top of that, Wolves managed to tie Matheus Cunha down to a new contract until 2029, and ensured they did not lose their best player at a crucial stage of the season.
The contract includes a release clause in the summer and he is highly likely to make a big money move in the coming months, but keeping him at Wolves until the end of the season was paramount.
Those three additions and Cunha's new contract do not make it a perfect window, but they make it a much better window than many thought just a few days ago.
If we are looking for perfection, then a new forward would have been ideal, particularly considering the injury sustained by Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Carlos Forbs' loan was also not cancelled and while he has struggled in England, at least the squad size was not weakened.

But one outgoing did help and that was Mario Lemina's departure for Galatasaray.
Wolves were able to recoup some money for a player that wanted to leave and had six months left on his contract - albeit there was a 12-month option to extend it.
Lemina was not making himself a nuisance at Compton or in training, but his desire to leave the club became a distraction that Wolves did not need and his refusal to travel with the team to Newcastle was a sour end to a short, but impressive, Wolves career.
For the sake of the player, club, head coach and dressing room, Wolves needed to move him on and despite his Saudi Arabia move falling through, they managed to do just that.
A near-perfect end to the window almost had a sensational twist, too, as Wolves entered talks for a swap deal to bring Conor Coady back to the club and for Craig Dawson to join Leicester.
It was a deal that made a lot of sense for all parties. Dawson could go and play after falling down the pecking order at Wolves, while Coady could return as the heroic fan-favourite to help keep the club in the league.
It is unlikely he would have played much, but he would have done wonders for the leadership, culture and atmosphere in the dressing room.
Leicester could not be convinced and it was not to be, which was a proper shame, but Wolves will move on.
The transfer window has closed and it is now down to Pereira and his talented squad to build off the Villa win and secure survival.
They have a challenge ahead of them but this end to the transfer window and the investment in the squad has given them a good chance of staying up.
