Exclusive: West Brom goalkeeper Alex Palmer set for Ipswich Town medical
Albion goalkeeper Alex Palmer will head to Ipswich Town for a medical to complete a £5million deadline day move.

It is understood Albion will move to bring Josh Griffiths, 23, back from his loan spell at League One Bristol Rovers with a view to him taking over the number one position between the sticks.
Pending a successful medical academy graduate Palmer, 28, will seal a switch to the Premier League after making 104 senior appearances as Baggies number one since late 2022.
The club will look to boost their squad with an attacking midfielder before Monday's 11pm deadline.
A goalkeeper sale has been on the club's radar for some time with a potential exit being looked at either this month or the summer. As an academy graduate, £5m banked by the keeper's exit is a significant boost to profit and sustainability regulations.
Palmer only had 18 months left on his contract at The Hawthorns and it is believed there was a likelihood the Kidderminster-born goalkeeper could have departed for nothing in the summer of 2026.
His farewell appearances for the Baggies looks set to be Saturday's 2-1 defeat at bottom side Plymouth. Palmer showed patience to earn his shot as Albion No.1 around the time of Carlos Corberan's appointment. He went on to share the golden glove for the Championship's most clean sheets with Leeds' Illan Meslier last season.
Ipswich are looking for reinforcements after a struggle between the sticks in the top flight this term. Former Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric was at fault for both goals in the weekend's defeat to Southampton.
Albion are believed to be confident in the layout of their goalkeeping department. Griffiths is highly regarded at The Hawthorns as is fellow shot-stopper Joe Wildsmith and Ben Cisse.
Griffiths, who penned a new deal at the club last summer, has long been seen as a long-term Baggies No.1 and has been quoted this season while out at Bristol Rovers that he will have to consider his future come the summer in a bid to be a permanent first-choice.
In 19-year-old England youth international Cisse, who is a regular for the under-21s, Albion have very high hopes for the future.
