Walsall's Bradley eyes full Wales cap

Walsall midfielder Mark Bradley has signalled his international ambitions after starring in Wales Under-21s' 4-1 win over Hungary.

The midfielder played the whole game in the Young Dragons' European Championship qualifying win in Wrexham last night and returned to Walsall's training ground this morning.

He is now targeting a senior call up this season to join Wolves' Dave Edwards, Wayne Hennessey and Sam Vokes, who scored in the 2-1 defeat to Montenegro.

Bradley said; "I want to play well for my club and if you play well then you get international call-ups.

"I just need to keep playing as many under-21 games as I can and play well. We'll then see what John Toshack thinks and who he wants to take up in to the senior team.

"A lot of the younger lads have played in the senior team and it's a good country to be pushing for the first team.

"Ched Evans played for us last night and got two goals, so it shows that if he is playing in our team then why can we play in the senior team?

"Hopefully I can make that step up sooner rather than later."

ales boss Toshack is a keen advocate of youth and under-21 boss Brian Flynn last season expected Bradley to break into Toshack's plans.

But Bradley knows only impressive performances for the Saddlers will force his way into the senior set-up.

He said: "I'm still only 21 and I just need to be playing week in week out here. My main focus is Walsall and when I go away with Wales I want to enjoy it.

"I like going away and playing for Wales, it's a welcome break, it breaks up the season and I enjoy playing.

"It's disappointing I missed the Accrington cup game, but I played 90 minutes last night and I want to play."
