The 19-year-old will be away from the Banks's Stadium for 10 days with Wales under-21s for their double-header against Bosnia and France, ruling him out of next Saturday's League One clash with Luton.

And the highly-rated midfielder will also sit out the FA Cup first round replay against Shrewsbury if the sides draw at the first attempt tomorrow.

Money is hopeful of having a loan signing in place in time to face the Hatters but he has admitted defeat in his efforts to recruit a new face in time to play the Shrews.

He said: "We have had joy but nothing is going to happen for tomorrow, as we expected.

"It's not easy to persuade teams to let people get themselves cup tied so nothing will happen for this game.

"We have had some positive feedback from a club that say we might be able to sign someone for next week.

"It's still a case of 'watch this space' but we still need someone and we learned yesterday that Mark Bradley will also be away next Saturday.

"But we have solved the problem before and we will give our best endeavours again."

Money's team today stepped up their preparations for tomorrow's match with defender Rhys Weston involved fully despite the blurred vision he suffered against Brighton on Tuesday.

And Money admitted he cannot wait for the FA Cup to get underway for his side.

He said: "It is still the glamour trophy in this country and in our position, and in Shrewsbury's, we all dream of a glamour third-round cup tie.
