Bridgnorth's 'quirkiest' property complete with a cave goes back on the market
One of Shropshire's most distinctive and unique properties, featuring its own sandstone cave, has gone back on the market.

Dracup's Cottage at 30 Railway Street in Bridgnorth used to belong to 60s artist Anthony Dracup.
Mr Dracup, who moved into the house in the 1980s, transformed the ordinary railwayman’s cottage into a work of art.

The artist spent years carving out a sandstone cave at the back of the property and integrating it into the main building and filled the house with his artwork and unique designs, creating what has been described as a "film set" themed around Alice In Wonderland.
The cottage has been an Airbnb and holiday let for the last few years after owners Karolina and Jason Harte bought the Railway Street property in 2019.

The couple, who generated around £32,000 a year from letting the Railway Street cottage to guests, have now put the house back on the market.
Estate agents Berriman Eaton in Bridgnorth say the property is the "quirkiest" home currently available on the market in the town and they hope to find another buyer interested in letting the property.

Caroline Eaton from the estate agents, who are selling the two-bedroom cottage with a guide price of £295,000, said: "We are marketing it as a holiday let. It is without doubt the quirkiest property on our books and it would be a travesty if it were bought by somebody who wanted to redecorate and turn it into a normal home.
"We are hoping to find another Airbnb or holiday let buyer who will keep it as it is, as it is a beautiful little Bridgnorth gem and we are in talks with a couple of buyers out of the area who are interested in taking it on as a holiday let."
