LET US SACK THE GOVERNMENT

It's a funny old world. In football if the manager does not get results, he is sacked. Then we have leaders of the various political parties who when the members do not like the way the leader performs, they get him or her removed. This was proved with the number of Conservative leaders over the last few years.

Now here is the funny thing. Labour were voted into power and all we have seen so far can only be described as attack on the people of United Kingdom. They conned the public into believing they were a changed party and were going to make things better and, so far, all I have seen is a growing feeling a person gets when they realise they have been scammed by con artists.

My point is that this government got into power under false pretences and so why can't we, like football clubs and party members, show we have no confidence in this government and demand they be sacked and replaced? Why should we have to suffer continual dismal and money sucking demands from a government for the next five years when they have as much idea of running a country as a rocking horse?

We should be able to rid us of incompetence and this government is truly showing us all that they are leaders in that department, in fact that could not even run the Ministry of Silly Walks!

REMEMBRANCE EVENT PRAISE

I had the pleasure of attending Bridgnorth's Remembrance Sunday commemoration organised by the British Legion, the event was blessed with good weather.

The parade through the High Street consisted of service veterans, Legion members, emergency services, constabulary, and most of the town’s clubs and associations. Young people’s groups such as Army Cadets, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Guides and Brownies were out in force and marching smartly. The parade route was lined by hundreds of residents.

The commemoration service in the Castle grounds was attended by all the marching groups and several hundred townspeople.

Conducted by chairman of the Royal British Legion, Mr John Whitty, the service was led by the Rev Simon Boxall and was a moving tribute to the forces and those who had perished in many conflicts around the world.

My congratulations go to Mr Whitty, all those on parade, the spirited and musically accomplished members of the Air Cadet Band, and especially the great number of people of Bridgnorth who turned out to make it such a special event.

I'M FED UP WITH DOG OWNERS

I’m fed up with these self entitled dog owners who think it’s their God-given right to have their dogs running everywhere off the lead, inflicting their animals on members of the public they come into contact with. How arrogant and rude they are. These people need to remember that not everyone is a dog lover, and some are frightened of dogs. They also need to remember the council now have powers to fine them on the spot!
