GET INVOLVED IN NSPCC WALK
This year marks the fifth annual NSPCC Walk for Children, and we invite everyone to get involved! Since its inception in December 2020, participants across the UK have walked their own 5k routes, raising over £460,000 to support the NSPCC’s vital work.
Typically held on the longest night of the year, this event offers family, friends and furry companions the opportunity to have fun festive exercise while also raising essential funds to ensure Childline can help as many children as possible this Christmas break.
The Walk for Children fundraiser will take place on Saturday, December 21, or on a date that better suits interested participants, and people can choose between a 5km route or a shorter, accessible path at a scenic location near them.
We encourage participants to aim to raise £100 to support the NSPCC’s essential services, including Childline, which offers round-the-clock support to children in need. Whether you join us in person or organise your own walk in your local area, every contribution will help to keep children safe this Christmas.

CONSENSUS WAS NEEDED ON VOTE
I don't believe the vote on assisted dying should have been left for individual MPs to decide.
This is a democracy so in my opinion each and every MP should have gone back to their constituency, taken a consensus, and then voted accordingly irrespective of their own beliefs.
But then I don't believe most of our MPs think logically.

PUBLIC SPEAKING LESSON FOR PM?
The more I see of our present Prime Minister the greater the impression I get of his wooden delivery of speeches, and his constant referral to his script in front of him by glancing down at it.
Surely it's not a lack of confidence on his part in what he's saying?
Surely some of his freebies could, and should, have been invested in getting him lessons in public speaking instead of clothes, spectacles and jollies on holiday, pop concerts and sports matches?
Am I being hyper-critical or guilty of cruelty to him? Perhaps someone can inform me.
Michael Gough, Wombourne
