Rotary in Young Citizen call

Time is running out for nominations for the Wolverhampton Young Citizen of the Year award.
Rotary clubs from the city have joined forces to recognise the achievements of young people who have gone that extra mile for their communities.
They are calling on employers, youth leaders, teachers and relatives to nominate people aged 14 to 19 for the award.
The winner will receive a trophy, a cheque for £100 and a further cheque for £500 payable to a nominated charity or community group. Two runners-up will each receive a trophy and £50.
To qualify, candidates must live, work or study within the city boundaries.
Roger Timbrell, chairman of the organising committee, said: “We are calling on people to nominate youngsters that deserve recognition for their efforts to help their communities.”
The closing date for entries is May 31.
