The new branch is located on 25–26 Dudley Street.
Popeyes is known for its signature shatter crunch chicken sandwich and range of other dishes that feature hand-marinated chicken.
Tom Crowley, CEO at Popeyes UK, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be opening our first restaurant in Wolverhampton and can’t wait to welcome the local community through our doors.
“Located right in the heart of the city, we’re looking forward to bringing our famous Louisiana hospitality, bold flavours and unmistakable Popeyes crunch to Wolverhampton.”
The store has branches in other West Midlands locations such as Wednesbury, Merry Hill and Birmingham.
Popeyes launched its first UK location in Westfield Stratford City, in East London, in 2021.
The original Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen opened in 1972.
