Major international BMX event coming to Wolverhampton offering chance to win huge cash prize
An exhilarating international sports event is set to take place in the region this September with a chance for people to take part and win a generous cash prize.

Old Market Square in Wolverhampton will be transformed into a showground for BMX, scooter and breaking shows as part of the major urban sport event, FISE Xperience Series.
Athletes from across the world will bring the action to the city from September 13 to 15, and local people who think they’ve got what it takes can go up against them in competition.
The E-FISE BMX street contest is said to bring the 'world's best' professional BMX street riders to Wolverhampton, where they will showcase their skills in the city's streets. Amateur riders will be able to take part by entering the 'Wild Card Contest', and the three winners of the contest will then have the chance to compete alongside the professionals for a chance to win a share of 22,000 Euros (£18,489.53)
Organised by Hurricane Group in partnership with Wolverhampton Council, the event is free for all to attend.
Councillor Chris Burden, cabinet member for city development, jobs, and skills said: “This is an exciting time for our city and is a boost to our five-year events strategy, helping to secure the city’s status and reputation regionally, nationally and internationally as a destination of choice for visitors. The series will further boost footfall, increase economic and social benefit, and help transform the reputation of the city.
“The FISE Xperience event in Old Market Square is family-friendly and free for everyone to attend, I’d encourage you all to get the dates saved in your diaries for the September event.”

Joseph Villeflayoux, Hurricane Group vice president, said: "We are incredibly proud to bring a FISE event to the UK, marking a new chapter in our digital and event-driven initiatives. This unprecedented project will allow riders from Wolverhampton and across Great Britain to engage with the FISE universe, creating a beautiful story we are thrilled to begin here in Wolverhampton."
The event is going ahead after Wolverhampton Council secured £390,000 worth of funding from the West Midlands Combined Authority as part of the Government's Commonwealth Games Legacy Funding.
It has also received Government funding of £91,000 through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Anyone who would like to enter the competition can do so here.
