Wolves star Jody Craddock is managing a team of footie fans that will go head-to-head with Aston Villa allstars including Mark Kinsella and Lee Hendrie.
The 37-year-old defender is player/manager of the team and has been putting players through their paces at Cheslyn Hay Leisure Centre.
Fans have bought the right to play in next weekend's match, which will raise money for the Balls for Cancer charity.
The team of ex-Villa stars includes Kinsella, Hendrie, Mark Walters and Gordon Cowans.
Kick-off will be at Bilston Town Football Club next Sunday at 2pm.
Wolves star Jody – whose youngest son Toby has undergone treatment for leukaemia – said: "I got involved in Balls to Cancer through a friend of mine. Obviously we are up against a team of ex-professionals and it will be tough. There are some decent players in my team though and the game itself is about having fun and obviously raising money."
Tickets for Sunday's game are available from www.ballstocancer.co.uk or on the door.
