Weeks after the pipe burst and caused the temporary closure of Church Street, Bilston.
Engineers say that they are hopeful that the works will be completed by the end of this week.
Walking along Church Street today (Tuesday, September 15), it’s obvious that the pipe which caused flooding and a road closure at the end of August is still not fixed.
In a statement, Severn Trent apologised for the inconvenience and thanked everyone for their patience.
A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “We apologise for any disruption caused as our teams work to complete emergency repairs to a burst pipe in Bilston.
“While we fixed the initial burst quickly, the full repairs needed were more complex and have required a road closure to keep our crews and the public safe.
“ We want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we look to complete the works and get everything back to normal by the end of the week.”
