Now, the service station has said that they hope to reopen this afternoon following renovation works to modernise their forecourt.

Traffic can usually be seen along Dudley Road as motorists flock for the ‘cheapest petrol in Wolverhampton’.

Branch manager, Rajan Patla, said: “The forecourt is closed currently for maintenance works and an uplift, work willing, we are hoping that the forecourt will reopen to customers this afternoon (Tuesday, 18).

“The work has been going well; we have had a lot of people trying to get fuel here. But we will be open again soon.”

The station manager said that things have ‘been hectic’, but ‘great’.

He added: “It’s been hectic. The other day we had a few pumps closed, but not all of them. All of the staff members were doing their best to keep the customers moving.

“It’s going to look great when we reopen after the facelift.”
