West Midlands taxi driver jailed over historic rape of young girls after befriending their parents
The rapist befriended the parents of three young girls before grooming and attacking them.
Child sex attacker, Peter King, has been jailed for more than 20 years after he sexually abused three young girls during the 1990s and 2000s.
King, aged 73, of Southampton, but lived in Birmingham at the time of the attacks, befriended the girls’ parents with the aim of luring in and grooming their daughters, who were aged between six and 15 at the time.

During the police investigation, it was found that he would take the girls on trips, holidays, and buy them clothes, before taking them back to his flat in Highgate, Birmingham.
King worked as a taxi driver at the time the abuse took place, and used his black cab to ferry around the girls, and sometimes their friends too.
One girl, who was 15 at the time, became pregnant by King before going on to have a termination.
The crimes were brought to light when the girl revealed the information to West Midlands Police years later, with the force’s Public Protection Unit (PPU) prosecuting him for his actions.
Following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday, June 26, King was convicted of 15 sexual offences, including multiple incidents of rape and indecent assault.
He has now been jailed for 22 years.
Detective Investigating Officer, Liz Weston, from the PPU, said: “King preyed on these young girls and took advantage of them when they were at their most vulnerable.
"It was through the bravery of the women who came forward and recounted their abuse, from when they were children, that we were able to ensure King was brought to justice for his deplorable actions.
"He has now received a significant jail term, and I hope this brings some form of closure for those he subjected to these horrific crimes.”
The force reassured that their specialist team of Non-Recent RASSO Team investigate all reports of sex offences, no matter how long ago they took place.
