West Midlands farm shop which sells 'best brekkie ever' officially opens new cafe

The popular cafe has opened in the High Street.

A West Midlands farm shop has relocated to a new home on a high street and has officially opened its new cafe.

Stourport Farm Shop & Kitchen, which is now known as Canalside Café, officially opened at 2-2a High Street on Saturday.

The popular shop has moved into the former Caldicott's Antique Shop, which closed its premises earlier this year to focus on the success of its sister company.

Following the announcement of the move on social media in July, customers shared their delight.

One said: “Ooh don’t worry girls I will continue to bring my Brum family and Welsh family to your new place for the best brekkie ever. Good luck girls.”

The business also created ‘the famous Stourport cheesecake’.

Announcing the opening on Saturday, the business posted on Facebook: “We are open!!!!

“Come and see us, 2 High street, Stourport.

“Best breakfast in Stourport, originators of the famous Stourport cheesecake.

“Often replicated never duplicated!!

“We are so excited to see you all!!!

On Sunday, a post said: “Wow what can I say. What a fabulous first day we have had.

“Thank you to everyone who came & supported us today in the pouring rain.

“Lots of familiar faces & many more new ones. Thanks again.”

The post was met with messages of support, with one customer saying: “It was lovely to be there today, what a great atmosphere and the food was superb, second to none.”
