West Midlands chippy named among top 50 best fish and chip takeaways in the UK

A West Midlands chippy was featured on the list of the UK’s best fish and chip takeaways in the country.

The Fry Awards rolled out their prestigious accolades for staple national dish ahead of National Fish and Chip Day (June 5).

The list includes restaurants and takeaways from across the country - including one takeaway based in the West Midlands.

Bredon Village Fish and Chip Shop, in Bredon, Worcestershire was the nearest takeaway on the list. It has a 4.5 star rating on Google Reviews.

One review said: “I go here every week. Great fish & Chips. Much more choice too.Staff friendly and helpful.”

Another added: “The best chippy in the Land, the cod is an absolute beast and always perfectly cooked with a light crispy batter and the haddock is just as delicious, the chips are crispy and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, what more could you ask for.

“Whenever we have a family meal this is our first stop, we all order different choices from the menu and everybody is always pleased with every dish, always tastes fresh to order.If your in the area get yourselves down here and if your not then get in the area to try it, the boss knows what he is doing!”

“Wonderful fish and chips best I've had in a long time, fish white and chips crispy, great value and very good service, will be back again,” a third wrote.
