West Bromwich town centre road shut due to 'police incident'
The High Street is closed between Lombard Street and St Michael Street, with motorists warned of “minor disruption” in the area
A West Bromwich road has been closed due to a “police incident”, West Midlands Roads has said.
The High Street has been shut between Lombard Street and St Michael Street this afternoon.
Motorists are advised to be aware of “minor disruption” in the area.
The number 44 and 64 buses have been diverted as a result.
Transport for West Midlands said: “Due to an incident on High Street in West Bromwich, buses will divert between the bus station and Carters Green.
“Services will use Dartmouth Street, Oak Lane, Oxford Road, Izons Road, Price Street.”
West Midlands Police has been approached for further information.
