'We're so proud of her': Brownhills practice manager wins National Veterinary Award
Gemma was nominated by her own colleagues in recognition of her dedication.
A vets practice manager from Brownhills has been crowned team member of the year in National Veterinary Awards.
Gemma Farrell-Jones from Warren House Veterinary Centre was recently named Des Thompson Team Member of the Year at the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) Congress, an award ceremony that aims to recognise the compassion and empathy from those in the Veterinary profession.
The 36-year-old was nominated by her own colleagues in recognition of her dedication to maintaining team morale and supporting those around her with colleagues describing her as calm, approachable and fair.

The ceremony took place on October 9 and celebrates the practises goal of looking after people.
Dr Tereza Indrielle-Kelly, director of Warren House Veterinary Centre, said: “Gemma became our practice manager long before we officially gave her the title.
“She started by helping us with our website but gradually became the person everyone naturally turned to for support, reassurance and help solving problems. She has an exceptional ability to notice when someone is struggling and understand what they need.
“People feel comfortable approaching her, and she brings calm and kindness to situations that can otherwise feel overwhelming. Although she joined without a clinical background, she quickly understood our expectations for patient care and now plays a vital role in supporting our nursing team and helping maintain those standards.”
