We joined football fans at West Midlands pub as England beat Mexico in World Cup - as it happened

All the action from The Crown in Bridgnorth as we joined fans for the big match.

It was a late night for many as England took on Mexico on the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City in the World Cup Round of 16.

The Three Lions had battled to get to this point, having topped Group L following a 4-2 win against Croatia, a goalless draw with Ghana and a 2-0 win against Panama, before coming from behind in the Round of 32 to beat the Democratic Republic of the Congo 2-1.

All of that led to a huge match against one of the co-hosts, played at altitude in the Mexican capital in one of the most iconic stadiums in world football.

Pubs across the country made special arrangements to show the game, with England winning a classic 3-2 and earning a place in the Quarterfinals against Norway on Saturday.

We’ve been watching with England fans all the way, joining supporters at pubs across the West Midlands - and for today’s crucial round of 16 match, we went to The Crown in Bridgnorth.
