A recovery team painstakingly removed a car from a Wolverhampton Lidl just one day after it was involved in a fatal crash.
The crew from RS Recovery Ltd used a number of tools and equipment to remove the Renault Zoe from the store on Finchfield Hill, with a winch on a 4x4 being utilised to drag the car out of the store.
The car has crashed into the store on Friday evening after the driver, a woman in her 70s, was believed to have suffered a medical incident, and the scene inside was one of devastation, with aisles, counters and doors smashed and stock strewn all over the floor.
A man in his 30s had been declared dead at the scene after the crash, while the driver and another woman were taken to hospital and other people were treated at the scene.
A day later, the car was made safe and dragged out, with the recovery crew clearing the way out, while a large group of people watched outside behind a police cordon.
The car was safely removed and taken away by the recovery team, while a security team could be seen putting up fencing outside the Lidl store under police supervision.
We’ve picked out some of the best photos which show the work done to remove the car, as well as a number of tributes being left outside.
