Man detained after imitation gun causes fear in Willenhall

An 18-year-old man has been detained following reports of a person with a sword and gun in Willenhall.

Officers were called to Lichfield Road, Willenhall, at just before 11.50pm yesterday (Wednesday, August 26).

The police detained an 18-year-old man in the area.

The weapon was established to be an imitation gun, although this would have understandably looked realistic to others and created fear and concern.

The 18-year-old was detained on suspicion of possessing weapons and remains in custody for questioning.
