Bantock House, in Finchfield, brought the items out for its monthly talk by museum assistant Stuart Williams and curator manager Helen Steatham.
Staff dressed in traditional servant pinafores and demonstrated laundry equipment and vacuum cleaners that would have been used to keep the house clean more than a century ago.
Mrs Steatham said: "Members of the public do not often get a chance to hold these up close, but they were able to use the old Star vacuum cleaner, which was made in Wolverhampton."
