University of Wolverhampton back up and running after 'technical issue' led to campus closure

University of Wolverhampton has said its campuses will re-open following a temporary closure.

Earlier today (Wednesday, April 15) staff and students at Wolverhampton were told to go home as its campus was closed after a internet outage.

Since then, the university has said that its systems are now back up and running and will continue its operations as “usual” from tomorrow (Thursday, April 16).

A spokesperson for the university told the Express & Star:

“The University experienced a technical issue earlier today affecting some core systems, which led to the temporary closure of the campus as a precautionary measure.

All systems are now operational, and the campus will resume its usual activities tomorrow.”
