A crash between junction six (Birmingham) and junction five (Birmingham / Sutton Coldfield) has caused disruptions on the motorway.

The hard shoulder is closed and will likely remain out of use until around 2.45pm, according to Live UK Motorway Cameras.

West Midlands Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Fire Service have been approached for comment.
