Revealed: The 21 West Midlands roads where speeding and dangerous driving is most common
Several roads across the West Midlands have been identified as hotspots for reports of speeding and dangerous driving, according to an analysis of thousands of public submissions to police.
The data, released by West Midlands Police following the conclusion of their 2025 Operation Snap campaign, highlights a number of routes where road users most frequently report unsafe driving behaviour.
Topping the list is Washwood Heath Road in Birmingham, which recorded a shocking 848 reports, making it by far the most commonly reported road in the dataset.
A number of other major routes across the region also appear frequently in the reports, including Cannock Road in Wolverhampton and Birmingham Road in Dudley.
Here are 21 roads with the the most reports of speeding and dangerous driving across the West Midlands:
1: Washwood Heath Road, Birmingham (B4114)– 848 reports
With a stunning 848 reports of speeding and/or reckless driving, Washwood Heath Road in Birmingham is far and away the worst road for reckless driving in the West Midlands according to West Midlands Police's data.

2: Cannock Road, Wolverhampton (A460) – 111 reports
Cannock Road, Wolverhampton ranked second, with 111 reports from residents and motorists raising concerns about unsafe driving.

3: Daw End Lane, Walsall (B4154) - 103 reports
Daw End Lane in Walsall also featured prominently, attracting 103 reports linked to speeding and dangerous manoeuvres.

4: Barnsley Road / Hagley Road, Sandwell (A456) - 101 reports
A busy junction that saw over 100 reports of dangerous driving and speeding in 2025.

5: Gayfield Avenue, Dudley - 80 reports
A long, winding residential road with several reports of speeding and dangerous driving.

6: Dudley Road, Sandwell (B4171) - 79 reports
Dudley Road in Rowley Regis proved to be a hotspot for risky driving in 2025.
