Traffic management expected in Staffordshire town for overnight works

Motorists in Chasetown may experience disruption due to works planned tonight.

Traffic management is expected to be in place in a Staffordshire town overnight due to water works.

Severn Trent Water have warned motorists that they may notice tankers and a temporary traffic management system in place in the Chasetown area (WS7) tonight (October 19) while they work to “investigate and resolve an issue as quickly and safely as possible”.

The potential disruption is expected overnight but may also be in place tomorrow.

A spokesperson for the water supplier said: “We would like to let you know that our teams will be working in your area overnight to investigate and resolve an issue as quickly and safely as possible.

“As part of this work, you may notice tankers and temporary traffic management in place overnight, which may continue into tomorrow.

“We understand that this may cause some disruption, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience this may bring. Please be assured that our teams will be working throughout the night to resolve the issue safely and minimise disruption.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out this important work.”
