'This road is terrible for it, it's absolutely tragic': Residents speak of shock after man, 20, dies in fatal crash
Residents have spoken of their shock after a 20-year-old man was killed in a tragic crash in Halesowen.
Emergency services were still present at the scene several hours after a fatal crash that took the life of a 20-year-old man on Manor Way on Monday night.
The crash saw the man's vehicle, a black Renault Clio, hit a tree just before 8pm.
The man, who was driving the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Now, residents of the area have spoken of their shock at the latest incident to take place on the road.
Claire Morris, 78, of Hagley Road, heard the crash happen.
She said: "I was just getting ready for bed and I heard a big bang. I knew at the time that someone had crashed, I didn't realise that it was so serious though.
"It's not the first crash we have had on the road, it really needs sorting out.
"I feel terrible that another family has to go through this."
The incident saw the road closed overnight, with road blocks being present between the junctions of Hagley Road and Grange Road.

Mandeep Kumar, 50, another resident of Hagley Road, said: "I have lived here for a few years now. The road has always been quite bad, it's always a shock that this keeps happening.
"I can't believe that someone has died though. It's terrible to think about. Too many people are losing their lives, or coming very near to it, on this road."
The road block was lifted at around 10am on Tuesday morning, however, residents have now called for more action to stop future incidents.
Isobel Turner, 35, of Blakedown Road, near the junction, said: "It's horrible, we heard the crash but we didn't know quite how bad it was. We didn't realise something serious happened until we saw all the lights.
"This road is terrible for it, it's absolutely tragic.
"More needs to be done to make it safer for people to drive on, if not, people will continue to lose their families. It's horrible."
