A quantity of cannabis was also found.
A 14-year-old boy has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place following an arrest in Walsall Town Centre.
The youth, who can’t be named for legal reasons, was arrested by West Midlands Police on Wednesday afternoon at around 3.40pm.
He is due to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on June 18 for a first hearing.
Sergeant Mark Collins, neighbourhood policing supervisor at St Matthews, said: “This was an excellent arrest by my team.
“We will not tolerate the carrying of knives in Walsall, and anyone who does so will be arrested and will be taken to court.”
