'Welcome back': Singing sensation helps to reopen popular curry house following refurb
The manager of a popular curry house has expressed his delight in reopening to the community after an overnight anniversary refurb.

The Curry Inn, on Church Road, Brewood, celebrated its 30th birthday with a visit from a celebrity as it reopened its doors following a much-needed refurbishment.
The inn served its first hungry customer in July 1994, opening its doors for all Brewood residents to enjoy.
Sam Uddin, manager of The Curry Inn, was joined by former Britain's Got Talent star Jean Martyn as they cut the ribbon to mark the start of four days worth of anniversary celebrations.

Mr Uddin said: "It's been absolutely fantastic. We are all extremely tired after the refurbishment, but it is looking absolutely fantastic in here.
"We previously had a black and white theme, but now we have really given the place a splash of colour, the place really pops now. Customers have been coming in and all they can say is 'wow'."
The restaurant manager was joined by Britain's Got Talent finalist Jean Martyn, who had previously helped to reopen the restaurant nine years ago when they had an extension built.

Talking about the celebrity singer, Mr Uddin said: "She was absolutely brilliant. She really knew how to get people on their feet, everyone was so happy to see her here.
"She actually helped us to reopen about nine years ago after we had the extension build. She really is a friend of the restaurant."
During the celebrations, Mr Uddin took the chance to talk about the past 30 years of the restaurant, thanking his loyal customers for their support.

Mr Uddin said: "We have really seen a lot of changes to the industry over the years. These times we are in now are probably the hardest it has ever been for the hospitality industry.
"But, having these people here, the people of Brewood and Stafford, our loyal customers, we are very lucky to have that and all the support we have been given."
The restaurant manager now looks forward to another 30 years of service in their new surroundings.

He ended: "Brewood is a very small place. It's one of those communities where people young and old mix together. It's really a lovely and fantastic place.
"If you ever get the chance to visit us here, come in and say hi to myself and the team and have a look around the village and meet the people. It really is lovely."
