The death of 52-year-old Ian Price has sparked an outpouring of tributes from across the region days after he succumbed to his injuries from the attack by two XL Bullies on Thursday in Stonnall.

A service was held at St Peter's Church in Stonnall was held on Sunday, with prayers being made for Mr Price and his family.

Additionally, a book of condolence has been set up at the church for anyone who wants to sign it being able to do so.

One of Mr Price's friends, Rob Ellwood, has also set up a Crowdfunding page to raise funds for Mr Price's family, which he had initially set a target of £500.

However, the total amount, to date, currently stands at £19,047, around 3,809 per cent more than what was originally targeted.

Mr Ellwood posted a message on the Crowdfunding page to thank those who had donated and/or signed the book of condolence.

He wrote: "Could I please, on behalf of Ian’s family and friends, thank everyone for coming to the service today and signing the book of condolence.

"You have done yourselves proud showing your respects and as a community we will come together to do as much as we can to help and support."
