A man has been jailed after heroin and crack cocaine were taken off the streets in Stoke-on-Trent.

Zeeshan Hussain was sentenced to four-years-and-one-month behind bars at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Thursday.

Hussain, a passenger in the car, was searched and officers seized two mobile phones and, when the car was searched, two more mobile phones were found.

PC Rehanne Mellor, of the City Proactive Team, led the investigation.

She said: “When the mobile phones were searched, we found text messages advertising the sale of class A drugs across Stoke-on-Trent.

“We worked tirelessly to gather evidence against Hussain which led to him admitting the offences in court.

“We will continue to target drug supply and take robust action against those responsible.”
