Nominations have now closed and we’ve been inundated with entries - with the shortlist to be announced soon.

Express & Star editor-in-chief Martin Wright said: “We’ve been absolutely delighted by both the number and the quality of nominations for this year’s Black Country Heroes Awards.

“Once again, they have highlighted the incredible people who go above and beyond to support their communities, and choosing our winners is going to be a real challenge for the judging panel.

“That is a great problem to have, and we’re looking forward to celebrating all of our nominees and recognising some truly inspirational Black Country heroes.”

Sponsors are still wanted and businesses interested in backing the event are invited to get in touch.
