Bookworms rejoice: Independent booksellers Booka to open new shop in Bridgnorth
A new independent book shop is to open in Bridgnorth within months, in what was previously a travel agent shop.

Booka Bookshop already has a popular store in Oswestry but has announced it will open a second store in Bridgnorth this autumn.
The new shop is set to replace the former Tui travel agents at 72 High Street.
Carrie Morris, owner of Booka Bookshop, said that after 14 years of supplying tomes to the people of Oswestry, Bridgnorth was a natural next step.
She said: "Bridgnorth is a lovely town and we are really excited to be opening there.
"It is similar in many ways to Oswestry but also different in that it seems a bit more touristy with the funicular railway and Severn Valley Railway. It is also close to the rest of the West Midlands."
She added that once the bookshop was up and running they planned to host a variety of events.
"We already have links with some local authors so once we are up and running we will come up with a programme of events which is what we have a great reputation for."
She said that they hoped Booka Bookshop in Bridgnorth would be open by the end of September.
