Access to Wolverhampton tip will be reduced due to National Grid roadworks

Motorists have been advised to follow diversions and allow extra time for visits during the closures

Visitors to a Wolverhampton tip have been warned to allow extra time while National Grid roadworks affect access.

Motorists have been advised to follow diversions and allow extra time for visits during the closures.

Bushbury Lane is closed in both directions between its junctions with Showell Road and Stafford Road. That closure is anticipated to last until Thursday (June 4).

Then Bushbury Lane will be closed in a westerly direction only between the same junctions. It is anticipated that the closure will be in place from Friday (June 5) to June 19.

The diversion route includes Stafford Road, Three Tuns Lane and Elston Hall Lane.

The council said on social media: “Motorists: please be aware that access to Shaw Road HWRC (tip) will be affected until June 19 due to National Grid works. The site will be open as usual, but please follow diversions and allow extra time for journeys.”

The closures are to facilitate a HV cable duct installation by National Grid Electricity Distribution, according to the Causeway one.network website.
