Saucy Halesowen brothers pitch delicious condiments to business experts on Dragons' Den

Two brothers who started a successful sauce company are set to pitch their business to the Dragons' Den multimillionaires.

Brendon and Jayden Manders, 32 and 22, from Halesowen and Quinton, are due to appear on BBC's business reality show Dragons' Den, as they pitch their range of sauces and seasoning to the industry leaders.

Starting with just £100, the duo started their business 'LumberJaxe' from their family kitchen table.

However, the duo were shocked when the sauces rapidly grew in popularity, now stocking more than 70 stores nationwide, and achieving a turnover of more than £150,000.

During filming, the brothers pitched their ideas to the six dragons, including fan favourites, Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Steven Bartlett, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies, as well as returning guest dragon, Emma Grede.

Brendon and Jayden, a former McDonald's worker and a mobile hairdresser respectively, launched the business in 2020 after being inspired by their family gatherings, and their grandad's passion for cooking on his self-built brick BBQ.

Jaydon said: "We would go to our grandma's and grandad's a lot and our grandad used to cook for the family BBQ's, he was always cooking.

"We originally got the idea for the business during Covid, we used to make sauces and seasonings in our family home, and we always thought 'What can do' but every decision came back to food and the joy it can bring."

The brotherly pair will appear on our screens on Thursday to seek additional funding from the Dragons, with the hope of spreading their businesses to reach as many budding chefs as possible.

Brendon said: "We've come a long way, and we are keen to take our business to new heights.

"We can't wait to share our journey with the viewers and see if the Dragons have an appetite for our business."

The episode will air on Thursday, February 20, offering viewers a look into the humble journey of the rapidly growing business.
